FAQ

We know you have questions, so to save you some time we have answered a few of the most common ones below.

  • What should I wear?
Short Answer: Ultimately we just want you to be comfortable. Long Answer: Comfortable clothing that allows your Physio to visualise your injured area is ideal. Shorts for low back and lower limb issues and a singlet top for women with upper body concerns are ideal.
  • What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring along any paperwork or information that could assist us in managing your problem or billing you for it. This might include imaging results, doctor’s letters, medical certificates/instructions or Workcover or insurance documentation. If you have a lower limb concern, especially one pertaining to running, please also bring in your regular footwear and/or orthotics for us to check and assess you in.
  • Do I need to be referred by my GP to see a Physio?
Short Answer: No! Long Answer: Physiotherapists are registered healthcare providers and we are commonly used as first contact practitioners. We are highly trained to recognise conditions that required medical intervention and will of course refer you onwards if we believe it is required.
  • Can I claim Physio using my private health insurance fund?
Yes. Please bring your Private Health card to your appointment for immediate rebates. Health fund rebates will differ between insurers and the specifics of your cover. For a more accurate costing in advance, please contact your insurer.
